Society for Animal Welfare and Management(SAWM)-NEPAL is established as a non-profitable social organization for the welfare and management of domestic,farm and wild animals. It is working in favour of animal welfare and management independently or jointly.

Society for Animal Welfare and Management (SAWM) is a non governmental organization working for animal welfare and their management. It was established and incorporated in 1998. We believe that this earth is not an inherited property of human beings only but must be equally shared by all animals on the earth. Theory of evolution has proven that all modern animals including human beings have descended from a common ancestor, the primitive aquatic animal or unicellular organism. So they are our kin and kith, and do have equal right to share the earth indiscriminately. Further, they placed us in the highest position of all animals not only for their unilateral corruption but for their welfare and management.

1. 1998 January: Establishment of Society for Animal Welfare and Management (SAWM) legally i.e. registered in government office and affiliated to Social Welfare Council.
2. 1998 March: Office establishment in Shantinagar, New Baneswor, Kathmandu, Nepal and beginning of awareness against cruelty to animals.
