Demonstration in front of Australian Embassy against long distance transportation
of live animals for slaughter from Australia to different parts of the
world.
AIM:
To demonstrate to the Australian Government international opposition to, and public concern over, Australia’s live export trade
OBJECTIVES:
1. To have at least 15 000 letters/emails sent by members of the public to Australian Embassies
2. To have at least 15 letters sent from HWC coalition members, and other AW, organisations to Australian Embassies and Australian PM Kevin Rudd
3. To have the issue/action covered in key media in at least 5 countries in Europe, Asia and North America.
4. To have issue/action covered in key media in Australia
5. To have a public response from at least two Australian Embassies to activity
6. For targeted Embassies to report back to Australian Government (not accruately measurable)
ACTIVITIES:
1. For HWC coalition members to write to the Australian Embassy in their respective country
2. For HWC coalition members to write to Prime Minister Rudd
3. For supporters and members of the public to contact the Australian Embassy in their respective country
4. Public events in front of Australian Embassies
