History
1. 1998 January: Establishment of Society for Animal Welfare and Management (SAWM) legally i.e. registered in government office and affiliated to Social Welfare Council (Fund by Members).

2. 1999 October: Dog show arranged at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, Nepal in collaboration with Kennel Club of Nepal and sponsored by House of Rajkarnikar ( A fair organizing organization in Nepal) ( Funds-Membership fee)

3. 2000 July: SAWM was associated with RSPCA (level 1).

4. 2000 October: Second Dog Show was organized at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, Nepal in collaboration with previous kennel club and sponsor (Funds-Membership fee).

5. 2001 February: Publication of awareness materials like pet care booklet, pamphlets, fliers, and brochure ( Funds-Membership fee & Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals=RSPCA UK £ 500.00).

6. 2002 April: Permission received from the Department of Livestock Services for Animal rescue and care centre.

7. 2003 February: 1112 animals including cows, cats, birds, horses and dogs were provided free veterinary services in collaboration with Janasewa Veterinary Clinic (Funding-Membership fee).

8. 2004 February: Establishment of own Veterinary Service Centre ( Funds-Membership fee).

9. 2005 March: 1200 dogs were given anti-rabies vaccine free of cost in 6 different camps. ARV was provided by National Zoonoses and Food Hygiene Research Centre (NZFHRC), Chair person- D.D.Joshi. (Other expenses – membership fee)

10. 2006 September: SAWM was rewarded permission to advocate against cruelty to animals, from the Department of Livestock Services.

11. 2007 May: 3000 community dogs were vaccinated against rabies virus in Jaleswor Municipality and its territorial village development committee of Dhanusha district of Nepal under financial support of Epidemiology and Disease Control Section of Nepal Government (US$ 8825.00).

12. 2007 September: Flood disaster relief program was completed in Holiya village development committee of Banke district of Nepal under financial support of RSPCA and Humane Society International=HSI (US$ 8000.00). 5000 farm animals were provided vaccine, medication, nutrients and minerals.

13. 2008 April: Comprehensive Survey on General Status of Working Animals of Nepalgunj (CSGSWAN) was completed and the final report is submitted to RSPCA for consideration.(Financial support by RSPCA £ 2619)

14. 2008 June: Demonstration in front of Australian Embassy in Nepal and other activity to support Handle With Care (HWC) program. (Financial support by World Society for the Protection of Animals=WSPA UK US$ 500)

15. 2008 October: Celebration of World Animal Day (4th October)distributing awareness materials like flairs, pamphlets with demonstration in the heart of Kathmandu city.

16. 2008 September: Flood disaster relief for the victims of Koshi River flood in Sunsari district of eastern Nepal (FDRKBASD) was completed providing veterinary care and nutritional feed to 2363 farm animals. (Financial support by WSPA UK USD 7700)

17. Treatment and surgery of stray and domestic animals, 3500 in number, in the clinic from 2004 onwards till the date.
